It took me 3 times to get this photo right. 3 days in a row, and on the first day of 2016, after sleeping off new year’s eve and before heading to more booze at family visits, everything fell into place. Probably not because of my night before, but rather thanks to trains being perfectly on schedule: around the same time as the benelux train comes out of Anwerp-Central station, a train leaves Antwerp-Berchem station – a short delay of the benelux train makes them cross right in the field of viiew of this image.
In short, I was lucky and got my photo of a benelux train reaching the top of the steep ramp between Antwerp’s 2 main stations.
