Warm feet

Winter photos in the Alps could use some snow. In lavorgo, temperatures were too high and the white stuff had melted completely. We headed north, back up the mountain pass, to get some colder temperatures (try to explain that to a non-rail enthousiast!). Troubles

We noticed something was wrong when we didn’t see any freight movements anymore for a while. At Erstfeld, we found out there was a problem with the ETCS signalling system further down the line. Trains were being held along the line… which gave us the opportunity for an evening shot at Erstfeld station, after having enjoyed a meal at the local train drivers’ restaurant.
