Lost golf balls

For our final shots, we crossed the Truckee River and climbed up a slope on the other side of the valley. The slope was close to a golf terrain: we found balls all over the place.
So, hoping not to be hit by a lost golf ball, we set up our gear, hoping to see one more train before heading back home. We were lucky: the last minutes of waiting delivered not one, not two, but three trains.
With a craving for more we started heading to San Francisco, where we would attend a baseball game. We made ourself a promise that next time we would come here, the first stop will be the Donner Pass railroad line.

Standing on a rocky slope, we made photos of the last trains of our vacation. Among others, this eastbound container train hauled by Union Pacific's 8774. Truckee, 6.6.2014
